Basics
What is SoloRoute?
SoloRoute is a route planner app for drivers who run their own routes. You add your stops, tap Optimize, and SoloRoute puts them in the fastest order. Then you drive the route stop by stop, navigating with Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps.
Which phones does SoloRoute run on?
SoloRoute runs on iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Sign in with the same account on both and your routes sync.
Can I use SoloRoute on a computer?
No. SoloRoute is an app for iPhone and Android. It is free for up to 20 stops per route, and Pro takes up to 100 stops.
Does SoloRoute work offline?
You need a data connection to add addresses, optimize a route and load maps. Once a route is optimized, your stop list stays on your phone, so you can still see your stops and notes if you lose signal for a while.
Pricing and plans
Is SoloRoute free?
Yes. The free plan optimizes routes with up to 20 stops each, with no time limit and no credit card. Free accounts can add up to 20 new stops per day.
What does SoloRoute Pro cost and what do I get?
Pro is $7.99 a month, or $71.99 a year on the annual plan (about $6.00 a month, 25% less than paying monthly). Both plans start with a 7-day free trial. Pro raises the limit to 100 stops per route and removes the daily cap of 20 new stops. It adds time windows, so a stop can be planned for when it can take a delivery (like 9 to 11 am), and delivery photos, saved with the stop for when a customer asks. You also get unlimited saved addresses (the free plan has 100) and reverse route. The free plan already includes importing, optimizing, navigation, notes, call and text, and first and last stops.
Is there a free trial of Pro?
Yes. Monthly and annual Pro both start with a 7-day free trial, which you start inside the app. Cancel in your phone's subscription settings before the trial ends and you are not charged. If you keep it, your app store starts the plan you picked when the trial ends.
How do I cancel Pro?
Pro is billed through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel in your phone's subscription settings at any time. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, then your account goes back to the free plan. Your routes are not deleted.
What happens if my route has more stops than my plan allows?
On the free plan you can optimize up to 20 stops per route. If you have more, upgrade to Pro for up to 100, or split your day into two routes.
Why is SoloRoute cheaper than other route planners?
SoloRoute is built for one driver, not a fleet. There is no dispatcher dashboard, team management or in-app navigation engine to pay for. You get the parts a solo driver uses every day: import, optimize, edit, navigate and proof of delivery.
Planning and importing
How do I add stops?
Search an address, paste a list, import a CSV or spreadsheet, scan a printed list with your camera, pick from your saved addresses or drop a pin on the map.
Can I set time windows or fix the first and last stop?
Yes. With Pro, each stop can have a time window (for example, 9:00 to 11:30). On every plan, a stop can have notes, a phone number, a package count and where the package is in your vehicle. You can also pin a stop as the first or last of the route. The optimizer plans around both.
Can I plan a break into my route?
Yes. Set a fixed break in your shift, for example lunch at 12:00 for 30 minutes. Set it for one route, or save it as the default for new routes. The optimizer plans your stops and arrival times around it.
Can I change the route after optimizing?
Yes. Edit any stop at any time and the arrival times update. Drag stops to reorder them, add or remove stops, or reverse the whole route with Pro.
How does route optimization work?
SoloRoute looks at real driving times between all of your stops, plus your start, end, shift times, break, time windows and first and last stops, and finds the order that gets you done soonest. It usually takes a few seconds.
On the road
Which navigation apps can I use?
Google Maps, Waze or Apple Maps. Tap Navigate and the next stop opens in the app you picked. Those apps also work with CarPlay and Android Auto. Turn on auto-navigate and the next stop opens by itself after each delivery.
Can I capture proof of delivery?
Yes, with Pro. When you mark a stop delivered you can take a photo. It is saved with the stop in your route history.
What if I cannot deliver to a stop?
Mark it failed and pick a reason: not home, no access, wrong address, refused, damaged or other. Choose to retry it later in the day and it moves to the end of the route, or leave it. You can undo if you tapped by mistake.
Account and data
How do I sign in?
With email and password, Google or Apple. Use the same sign-in on another phone and your routes and saved addresses come with you.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password and enter your email. Open the email on the same phone and tap Reset password. It opens SoloRoute so you can choose a new password. Each link works once, and only the newest one works, so if a link fails, ask for a new one. If you signed up with Google or Apple, sign in with that button instead.
I paid for Pro but the app shows the free plan. What do I do?
Make sure you are signed in to SoloRoute with the account you used when you subscribed. Then go to Settings and tap Restore purchases. SoloRoute checks your App Store or Google Play account and turns Pro back on. This also works on a new phone.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. See Delete your account for details on what is removed.
Do you sell my data?
No. We do not sell, trade or share your personal information, except with the services needed to run the app. See the privacy policy.
